Safety Standards

These standards keep Lifteller a safe and trusted place to give, receive, and connect. Everyone is expected to follow them.

01Our commitment

Lifteller exists to help people lift one another up. These Safety Standards set out the behaviour we expect from every member and the steps we take to keep the community safe. They apply across the entire platform — posts, clips, stories, messages, lifts, and payments — and work together with our Terms & Conditions.

02Prohibited content & behaviour

To protect the community, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment & bullying — threats, intimidation, or targeted abuse of any individual or group.
  • Hate speech — content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics.
  • Exploitation — any content that sexualises or endangers minors, or that promotes human trafficking.
  • Violence — incitement, glorification, or threats of real-world harm.
  • Fraud & scams — deceptive lifts, fake fundraising, impersonation, or misuse of the wallet.
  • Illegal goods & activity — promotion or sale of anything prohibited by law.

03Financial & fundraising safety

  • Lifts and raises must be honest, accurate, and used only for their stated purpose.
  • We may verify identity and the legitimacy of fundraising before releasing funds.
  • Suspicious transactions can be paused, reversed, or reported to the relevant authorities.
  • Never share one-time passwords, card details, or wallet credentials with anyone.

04Protecting minors

Lifteller is for users aged 18 and above. We do not permit accounts for minors and we act swiftly on any content that exploits or endangers children, including reporting to law enforcement where appropriate.

05Reporting & enforcement

Every member helps keep Lifteller safe. If you see something that breaks these standards:

  • Use the in-app Report and Block tools on any profile, post, or message.
  • Our team reviews reports and may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend and remove accounts.
  • Serious violations are escalated to the appropriate authorities.

We aim to apply these standards consistently and fairly, and we offer a way to appeal enforcement decisions.

06Tips for staying safe

  • Keep personal and financial details private.
  • Be cautious of lifts or messages that feel too good to be true.
  • Enable two-factor authentication on your account.
  • Verify who you are dealing with before sending funds.
